Other Useful Information– Plaintiff had a 37-year-old knee injury and was on crutches after having a tibial osteotomy & manipulation on his knee. Plaintiff alleged that while properly using the crutches, they broke and he reinjured his knee. Plaintiffs doctor testified that the fall did cause some additional injury, which prevented plaintiff from returning to his job. Defendant called two doctors who disputed this assertion. Plaintiff had settled with the hospital and the jury trial was against the manufacturer. After a 6 day jury trial the jury returned with a verdict for the plaintiff with a sum of $300,000.
