Other Useful Information – At the time the incident occurred, the plaintiff was working as a journeyman electrician. While replacing an electronic module for the dynamic brake circuit for the marine leg conveyor drive motor in one of the defendants Motor Control Centers. The plaintiff turned off the circuit breaker and began installing the replacement unit. While terminating the wiring, a rapid short duration electrical arching event occurred. The hot gasses from the electrical arching event resulted in burn injuries to Client. The defendant negligently failed to maintain said equipment and failed to prevent grain dust accumulation.
